Legendary Marketer Review: I joined and Here are My Results

Hey there, and welcome to my Legendary Marketer review. My name is Paul and I have been making money in the affiliate marketing game for the past decade and have been working to assist those of you looking to do the same.

So, you are here to see what the go is with Legendary Marketer – much the same as I did a few years back.

I was trying to get started making money online and was really not getting anywhere. So, on the advice of the review I read, (he was an affiliate), I joined Legendary Marketer.

Why? Well, or the following reasons:

1. I knew I wanted to make money online but didn’t know how to start
2. I needed to know what tools and training I needed that weren’t going to cost the earth
3. And to be honest, I really just didn’t want to sit in my office cubicle anymore

So, in this review I’m going to cover the most important things you need to know regarding David Sharpe’s program and then see if it can help solve the above.

Legendary Marketer and the 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge

In short, Legendary Marketer and the 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge is an online training program that promotes itself as able to give you all the information required to establish and run an affiliate marketing business aimed at high ticket commissions – meaning you sell expensive stuff making commissions higher than if you sold cheap stuff.

Legendary Marketer will teach you to do this by paying for advertising and emailing people. They also reckon you can set it all up in 15 Days.

• Product Name: Legendary Marketer
• Founder: Dave Sharpe
• Product Type: Online affiliate marketing training program
• Price: $7 + upsells (that can lead up to $10,000)
• Best For: Those looking to make some cash online via affiliate marketing
• Recommended: The information is good but there are plenty of upsells meaning you will need extra cash to make it all work so if you don’t have access to extra funds then I would say no.

So, how does it work?

The underlying business model of Legendary Marketer and its 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge is affiliate marketing, which is where you earn commissions promoting other companies’ products online.

The information is sound and Dave Sharpe is a very successful affiliate marketer.

And yes, affiliate marketing is a legitimate business model that can be very lucrative once you get everything set up.

Furthermore, let’s be clear on another thing. This program is definitely legit and in no way a scam. The information that I could access is effective and in time, you can earn affiliate commissions with this process.

Okay… so why don’t I use it still?

To my way of thinking, there are a number of problems here:

1. I paid for the 15 day challenge, but once I got to day 3, I could not go any further without a webinar type call with the company’s representatives.
2. To succeed with this program, you will need to spend extra cash on external programs including an email autoresponder and funnel software.
3. There are many, many upsells meaning you are not getting everything in one hit – no matter the price.

How Much Does It Cost?

Cost is where I came undone myself – I just couldn’t afford it – there are just so many upsells and there is no free trial option either. Here are some of the costs involved:

• 15 Day Challenge ($7).
• Legendary Marketer eBook ($9.95).
• Legendary Marketer’s Club ($30 a month).
• Traffic Rolodex ($247).
• Affiliate Business Blueprint ($2,500).
• Digital Products Business Blueprint ($2,500).
• Marketer Mastermind ($8,000).
• Entrepreneur Mastermind ($12,000).
• DFY Brand Builder ($10,000).
• Legendary Leadership Group ($30,000).
• And more.

Does It Have a Good Reputation?

TrustPilot is the place where you should be going to do to get real consumer reviews about products/services that you plan on buying – kinda like the number of likes on FaceBook. 

If a company doesn’t exist on this website, or has a rating lower rating than 4.5 out 5 stars, then you may want to know why.

And in all honesty, Legendary Marketer comes up ok here with a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.

Most reviews back up my opinion here in that the content itself is not bad but the cost is quite high. Some recent examples are as follows:

However sadly for them, recently they were highlighted (maybe somewhat unfairly) in a recent news segment as well..

Are Members of Legendary Marketer Making Money?

There are some success stories posted on the company website, and based on the way they are presented, I have no reason to doubt that they are real.

This is not surprising as the content, especially if you pay the higher amounts to gain access to Dave himself, is good. Again, my issue is with the upsells and costs, not the content or the creator.

At the end of the day, there may be a some students making a profit.

I will also add here, that as it is with my recommendation below, Legendary Marketer does not promise fast wealth and those who join but do not do the work will not succeed, as it is with any business.

And I would hazard a guess that many of those who are making money did not do it within the first 15 days – which is ok as again, this is not a get rich quick scheme.

Pros

• Some of the eBooks and courses offered by Legendary Marketer are affordable.
• You have the potential to earn high ticket commissions by promoting Legendary Marketer products.

Cons

• The $30 monthly membership offered by Legendary Marketer after the 15 Day Online Business Builder Challenge does not include the physical tools needed to make money online with affiliate marketing.
• The upsells in the program can be very high, costing up to $10,000.
• It is not necessary to pay such high prices to learn how to succeed online.
• There are cheaper alternatives available that teach the same business models, such as Wealthy Affiliate.
• The Trustpilot ratings for Legendary Marketer are not very high, receiving only 2.1 out of 5 stars.

Is Legendary Marketer a Scam? And Does It solve the Problems I Outlined above?

Look, the content is not a scam, however there are a few red flags (including some recently highlighted in mainstream media). Additionally, it does not include all the of the tools required to set up an online business that makes money.

All businesses need tools to get started – and again unfortunately, Legendary Marketer lacks the tools required to setup, host and manage your business all in the one spot.

It was also not a cost effective method to get me started either.

Introducing My Alternative – Wealthy Affiliate, My #1 Recommendation for Setting Up Your Own Online Business

In my experience, you do not need to spend this much money to learn how to succeed online.

And at the end of the day, I left the Legendary Marketer program for three reasons:

1. The crazy prices to proceed further
2. The fact that I couldn’t get past day 3 of the 15 day trial without the need to partake in a sales call with a representative to upsell me to higher levels.
3. It didn’t assist in solving the problems I outlined above by giving me the physical tools I needed to start my own online business

From here, I started to look around online and found program that didn’t promise me riches, but told me it could help me get started even with no experience!

So I did that, joined Wealthy Affiliate that was it, and the rest as they say, is history!

How Did I Start?

I began on their free starter membership and did the training! This allowed me to check it all out and actually get started on my online business!

I then joined as a member and did some more training!

Each night after work, I would do a little more, then a little more.

And to cut a long story short, after 10 months I realized I didn’t really like writing about essential oils (the subject of my first site), so I sold the site for about $2000. But I had learned so much that I started another – about fishing and camping!

Then, after 18 months (by which time it had earned me close to $10k), I was offered $17k for the site, so I sold it too.

Now, through my travel blog, I’ve been able to fund my passion for travel and explore different places around the world.

In the past few months, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing destinations, including Bali, Los Angeles, Dallas, Vancouver and Las Vegas.

The success of my travel blog has allowed me to fully fund my travels and explore new destinations with my family.
